Meet our newest WOL Coach: Robin Leins
One word to describe my calls with Robin is: “Joyful.” He has a wonderful combination of intelligence, creativity, and humor. I noticed it even in his bio:
“As a father of two, Robin has learned a thing or two about preparation, last-minute adjustments and keeping a sense of humour when things don't go to plan..”
As a parent, I can relate! And it underscores how his approach with teams and leaders is not theoretical but practical and human. His company name, Handfest (or “hands on”), embodies this.
“A core principle in my work is that people take ownership by contributing their experiences, reflecting on their practice, and learning from each other. I design formats that enable exactly this kind of exchange. That’s why Working Out Loud immediately resonated with me.
I find he has exactly the right temperament and attitude for a Coach. I look forward to collaborating with him and seeing what he does with WOL!
Note: For each new WOL Coach, I ask three questions so you can get to know them and their reasons for becoming a Coach. You can also visit Robin’s WOL Coach profile on workingoutloud.com. Or connect with him on LinkedIn or at robin@hand-fest.ch.
1. Please share 5 facts about you so people get to know you.
Family life: I have two fantastic kids that teach be more about teamwork than any training ever could.
Jack of all trades: Airport police, circus waiter, teacher, choir singer. I've worked in so many different jobs and industries, before I found my passion for enabling leaders and teams.
Always up for a challenge: Whether it's hosting a workshop for 100 people or building a backyard water slide, I'm happy when I can be creative and make things happen.
Curious co-Learner: Even in my own field, I don't have all the answers (far from it). I'd rather explore things together with the people in the room and be surprised by what we learn.
Seriously fun: Learning sticks when it doesn't feel like a lecture. Playfulness isn't a nice-to-have, it's part of how I work.
2. What positive difference do you aspire to make?
I want to make things a little clearer and a little lighter for the people I work with. A team that talks again. An employee who finds a way to focus. A manager who finally understands what's been holding their team back.
These moments often look small from the outside. But to the people experiencing them, they feel significant.
3. Why WOL?
Working Out Loud perfectly complements what I already do. It brings together the things I care about most: sharing openly, learning together, and building real connections.
