If ever I write another book, Bettina and Constanze will be in it for sure
I met Bettina Jung in 2018 when she told me she joined a WOL Circle “with great success!” and wanted to bring it into her nonprofit healthcare organization in Germany.
But she also said: standard WOL won't work in a busy healthcare environment.
Her honesty and passion started our collaboration. We began shaping what would become WOL Healthcare, a peer-based method for giving healthcare workers a chance to learn, grow, and connect — even in stressful, hierarchical systems.
Not long after, Constanze Zeller read our first post and reached out. She wanted “to give people in this wonderful and meaningful healthcare business the opportunity to learn, grow and glow together.”
That’s when the real momentum began.
Since then, Bettina and Constanze have:
* conducted pilots and spread WOL Healthcare in multiple organizations
* presented their work at conferences and in two books
* won a national health management award (see the joyful photo below!)
* partnered with experts like Prof. Julia Schorlemmer in Berlin and Linda Fromme at University Hospital Zurich to deepen and expand their methods
Now they’re beginning a new chapter together: kuurio.
“The name is inspired by ‘curious’ – curiosity as a driver of human development and sustainable learning. This curiosity forms the core of kuurio | werkraum für verbindende Führung und lebendige Zusammenarbeit.”
With kuurio, they will strengthen individuals, shift how people work together, and help shape cultures that are more humane, connected, and collaborative.
I admire their work not just because of the impact they’ve had, but because of how they do it — open, curious, persistent, passionate. Their way of working keeps leading to new possibilities for them and for the people and organizations they support.
👉 Everyone deserves a chance to shape their future, inspire others, and make the world a better place. Bettina and Constanze are living examples of what that looks like.
