Meet our newest WOL Coach: Manda Filipovic
As an HR professional, Manda is a different kind of WOL Coach. She is driving change from within.
She describes herself as an optimist and passionate about people and learning:
“I love working with other people and moving mountains with them.”
Manda uses her role to put her philosophy and principles about people into action.
When I first spoke with her, I thought she was soft-spoken. But as I listened it became clear she' is “humbly wise,” thoughtfully sharing keen insights about people and possibilities. She has a wonderful combination of intellectual curiosity and empathy with a focus on practical implementation.
For each new WOL Coach, I ask three questions so you can get to know them and their motivations. (You can also visit Manda’s WOL Coach profile on workingoutloud.com, connect with her on LinkedIn, or reach her directly at Manda.Filipovic@gmx.at.)
I can’t wait to see what Manda does with WOL in her organization.
1. Please share 5 facts about you so people get to know you.
I'm an optimist. An optimist’s glass is also half empty. But they have much more fun in life than pessimists.
Curiosity and lifelong learning are what drive me every day.
I love working with other people and moving mountains with them. :-)
I love to travel, especially to faraway countries.
I have two children, and it's wonderful to watch them discover the world.
2. What positive difference do you aspire to make?
I want to encourage people to take action. We decide daily, hourly, what we think and do. Don't overthink things, take small steps. Choose a path, and if you make a mistake, turn around and try a new one..
3. Why WOL?
Because the methods gives people the tools they need to pursue and achieve their goals. Along the way, you meet many people and get to know yourself. The route is the goal.
